Description

Cetafen Tablets

Cetafen Tablets (acetaminophen 325 mg) are an over-the-counter oral medication used for temporary relief of minor aches and pains and reduction of fever. Each regular-strength Cetafen tablet contains 325 mg of acetaminophen. The current U.S. DailyMed labeling identifies Cetafen as a pain reliever and fever reducer.

Cetafen may temporarily relieve minor pain associated with headache, muscular aches, backache, minor arthritis pain, the common cold, toothache, and menstrual cramps. Acetaminophen can also temporarily reduce fever.

Unlike aspirin and other NSAIDs, acetaminophen is generally classified as a non-aspirin analgesic and antipyretic, making it a commonly used option for pain and fever when an NSAID is not appropriate.
